I’m hot. I’m cold. I’m nervous. I’m calm. I’m pacing. I’m fidgeting. I’m twiddling. I’m twerking. I’m hungry. I’m thirsty. I’m sitting. I’m standing. I’m humbled. I’m grateful. I’m gushy. I’m giddy. I’m so very excited…
and I’m ready to start talking about the new southwest.
Yes, the book, but also the place. The food. The people. The flavor. All of the stuff that I fell in love with so hard that I decided I needed to write a book about it.
And write a book I did. Which is why it’s now time to share my work and thank you for supporting me while I did it.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for commenting. Thank you for reviewing. Thank you for suggesting. Thank you for emailing. Thank you for tweeting. Thank you for liking. Thank you for texting. Thank you for getting involved in so many ways that have meant so much to me over the last two and a half years since Scarletta Bakes came to be.
Thank you!!!!
I can’t say it enough.
But what I can do, and what I have done, is partner with some of my favorite brands to offer you the chance to win some swaggy swag swag. Are you ready for it?
As you might imagine, The New Southwest includes recipes for a number of baked goods, not the least of which is a ‘Desserts’ chapter that I simply could not have completed without the help of my trusty KitchenAid® Stand Mixer.
I whipped. I whisked. I mixed. I kneaded. I leaned heavily on the strong shoulders of my KitchenAid® Stand Mixer during moments of exhaustion and self-doubt. And said mixer always answered by continuing to chug away.
Just look what my mixer and I made together!
Yup, the recipe for that Dulce de Leche Layer Cake With Sweet Pecan ‘Pesto’ is in The New Southwest. My KitchenAid® Stand Mixer and I got it done like a couple of baking bosses.
So today, because I’m grateful, and because I think you need one of these inexhaustible machines in your life, and because the amazing team at KitchenAid thinks so too, we’re offering one lucky SB reader the chance to win their very own KitchenAid® Artisan® Series 5-Quart Stand Mixer.
And you can even pick the color!
Will you go basic White? Or will you rock a Cranberry? Maybe you’ll do a gorgeous Persimmon like the mixer shown above? Or perhaps you’ll be a boss with a Bayleaf? Nobody knows except you, which is why you best keep reading and enter yourself!
You can enter to win a KitchenAid® Artisan® Series 5-Quart Stand Mixer PLUS one signed copy of The New Southwest by simply leaving a comment below telling me the very first thing you’d whip up with your brand new KitchenAid® Stand Mixer. Bonus points (in my heart only) if that thing involves the flavors of the southwest.
